Ottawa Truck holds many patents and is the only terminal tractor manufacturer in the industry that pre-forms their chassis frame rails from steel plate. The frame rails are designed with pre-punched holes, which gives Ottawa Truck the ability to bolt on all optional equipment in lieu of welding, which can introduce fatigue to the chassis.

Our terminal tractor was designed for ergonomics. The cab features finger tip controls, maximum visibility and a sharp turning radius, which gives our drivers comfort while increasing productivity. Ottawa's can spot up to 5 trailers in the same time it takes an over-the-road tractor to spot 1 trailer.

Ports and Terminals
Ottawa terminal tractors are adapted to a variety of needs for cargo handling in ports and terminals. It can handle semi-trailers, terminal containers and roll trailers. In Ro/Ro applications, Ottawa uses its low clearance cab with minimum turning radius for those tight maneuvers.

Ottawa produces their YT-60 terminal tractor which is a 6x4 tandem axle truck for heavier applications in terminals and for over-the-road transport of containers and trailers.
